This week has been a little chaotic with my 5-month-old twins. They are completely out of sync, and it is testing my patience and my sanity. Both babies are super gassy and irritable, and I am not sure if it is something I am eating. I have not changed my diet at all, so it might just be a stage of gut development they are going through.
One of them has been waking up from naps much earlier than usual. When this happens, they often cry as if they are really uncomfortable, and of course, that wakes the other baby. This back-and-forth has been happening all week, and I feel so bad for them. If it continues after the weekend, I plan to call the pediatrician on Monday.
On a brighter note, they are becoming more vocal and discovering their little voices. Sometimes it is like listening to tiny dinosaurs with their screeches. They drool foam while studying toys in their hands like little mad scientists, and it is both hilarious and heart-melting. I love them so much.
They are definitely showing signs that they are ready for solid foods. They watch everything I eat or drink with intense interest, and it is clear they want to join in. The high chairs are ready, and we are excited to start solids very soon. I cannot wait to see them explore new foods, especially with Thanksgiving coming up.
