I Didn’t Trust My Instincts Until I Became a Mom

Do you trust your instincts?

I don’t think I fully trusted my instincts before becoming a mother. I was a Google girl through and through, always searching for cues and trying to memorize information like I was studying for a test. I thought I needed every bit of knowledge to feel prepared.

But the moment my boys were born something in me shifted. I didn’t go back to those notes or those saved articles. My body simply knew what my babies needed long before my mind could put words to it. I felt this deep internal pull that guided me hour by hour through those early days. It was almost magical to watch myself become someone who could trust her gut without hesitation.

Now I trust my instincts in everything. Motherhood taught me that there is a quiet wisdom inside of me that has been waiting to be used. Part of me even wants more opportunities to test it out because every time I follow that inner voice I feel both capable and grounded.

Motherhood has a way of revealing strengths we never realized were ours.
