The Positive Moments That Shaped My Year

What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?

There is something grounding about looking back on a year and realizing how much good was quietly woven into the chaos. This year stretched me, softened me, and transformed me in ways I am still trying to understand. It was far from perfect, but it held some of the most meaningful moments of my life.

Meeting My Twins for the First Time

Me with twin A, twin B is down in NICU.

The most powerful positive moment of this entire year was becoming a mom to two beautiful people at once. Nothing prepared me for the overwhelming love that rushed in. I became someone entirely new the moment they were placed in my arms. My heart grew in ways I could have never imagined.

Celebrating My CHD Baby’s Strength

My CHD baby (twin B) recovering after open heart surgery.

One of the biggest miracles of my year was bringing my CHD baby home after heart surgery. Watching him heal, grow, and smile again reminded me that resilience is real and that tiny humans can be so incredibly strong. It is a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Watching Tiny Milestones Add Up

This year was filled with the smallest moments that somehow became the biggest ones.

The first real eye contact.

The first belly laugh.

The first time they reached for each other.

These little milestones stitched together the story of our days and gave me something to look forward to even on the tiring mornings.

Creating Something for Myself Again

Beginning my blog, building my TikTok community, and dreaming up my Etsy shop gave me a purpose outside of motherhood without taking anything away from motherhood itself. Every post I write and every idea I sketch for a mug or printable feels like a tiny door opening.

Whenever I mention a product I love, I remind myself to add an affiliate link so I can support my family while sharing what works for me.

Learning My Own Strength

This year taught me that I can handle more than I ever thought possible. Between sleepless nights, feeding challenges, and the constant juggling of two babies who need me in completely different ways, I found a deeper patience. Not perfect patience, but real, human patience that grows slowly over time.

Finding a New Rhythm as a Family

Somewhere along the way, things began to click. Our home feels fuller and more alive. The babies nap a little better. I understand their cues more quickly. Our routines are not flawless, but they feel like ours. Even the busy moments have their own sense of peace.

Learning to Celebrate Small Wins

The small victories became the foundation of my year. A full cup of coffee. A slightly longer nap. A ten minute stretch where both babies were content at the same time. These tiny wins kept me going and reminded me that progress does not need to be big to matter.

Realizing I Am Doing Enough

Maybe the most powerful positive shift of all was internal. I finally realized that I am doing enough. Not perfect. Not effortless. But enough. And that realization made my entire year feel lighter.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude

As I step into a new year, I carry the lessons, the miracles, the messy days, and the joy with me. This year changed me. It made me stronger, more present, and more grateful for the slow, quiet moments that I used to rush through. I am proud of the mom I am becoming. And I’m excited for forever with my babies.
